General Notes: OBITUARY FROM THE CEDAR RAPIDS GAZETTE 14 APRIL 1957 George E. Buzza, 73, a former Marion resident, died Friday at Guatemala en route with his wife to their home in Los Angeles after a vacation in the W est Indies and South America. He and Mrs. B uzza had visited his sister s, Mary Buzza and Amber Travis, in Marion a month ago. Born June 22, 1883, at Marion, the son of George and Sophia Winsor Buzz a, he attended Marion Schools and studied art at Cornell college and Dra ke university. In 1 907, while a student at Drake, Mr. Buzza went to Minneapolis to col lect a debt from a Des Moines printer. He remained in Minneapolis and wi th another artist for several years manufactured college posters, popul ar at that time. Three years late r he began publishing greeting cards under the na me of the Buzza Company. In 1928 he sold 52 percent of his stock in the B uzza Company and moved to California, planning to retire. On the West Coa st he formed a partnership with a former busine ss associate in Minneapoli s. He was president of the Buzza-Cardozo Company, a greeting card fi rm at Hollywood. Mr. Buzza had recently built a residence in Vida, Ore. , and had plann ed to retire and make his home there. Mr. and Mrs. Buzza wer e enroute home from Rio de Janeiro , Brazil, whe re they had visited his nephew, Frank B. Travis, and his family. Surviving, in addition to his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Lawto n, of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; three sons , George E. Buzza, J r., of L os Angeles; Merritt and William of Vida, Ore., another sister, Mrs. Newe ll C. Rice of Mountlake Terrace, Wash., and a brother, Frank C. Buzza of O wen Sound, Ontario. Services and burial will be at Vida, Ore., Thursday morning.

Floyd Herman Winsor, 74, Brandon postmaster 15 years before his retirement, died early this morning at the Virginia Gay Hospital.
He was a resident at the Lutheran Home the past nine months. He was born March 14, 1904 at Brandon, a son of Jason S. and Mary Brunko Winsor,
and married Isabel Smith at Cedar Rapids on March 5, 1927. He is survived by his wife, a resident at the Lutheran Home; two grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) see of Waterloo; and one brother, Raleigh Winsor of Duck Hill, Miss.
He was prece ded in death by one son, one grandson and two brothers. The funeral will be at 11 AM Thursday at the Phillips Funeral Home,
with the Rev. Gerald Allsup officiating. Burial will be in the Brandon Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 PM Tuesday.
A memorial fund has been established.
