Sprite, Sprit, Spreet The following is why I think Henry Winsor and Catharin/Catherine Spreat/Spreet are the parents of George Winso r born on 4 Oct 1796 in Slapton: George Winsor and Mary Couch named their 9th child Francis Edward Prowse Winsor. There was a Joan Spreat born 30 Jan 1765, Paignton, Devon, England. Parents were Wm Spreat and Catherine Unknown. Joan Sprit marrie d Edward Prowse on 22 Jan 1789 in Totnes, Devon, England. They had a child by the name of Francis Winsor born 4 Aug 1790, Paignt on, Devon, England.
